McCormick’s Grill Mates Event.

I am in no way a vegetarian, and I love to eat fatty foods. I know that I don’t post a lot of glorious meat, but this post will more than make up for that!

I was invited by McCormick to try their new Grill Mates range, at a BBQ event held at Beer Deluxe Hawthorn, and run by Chef Eric Luhning from BBQ School.

Chef Eric used the new American BBQ Grill Mates range to teach us some amazing BBQ techniques. There are some great flavours in the Grill Mates range – including Jalapeno Cheddar and Chipotle with roasted garlic!

BBQ Action!

So much meat! It was so delicious. Cooked for hours, until it melted in your mouth. We had burgers, quesadillas, brisket, pulled pork and oh, a little bit of salad.  The Grill Mates seasonings added some tasty flavours to the meat – I loved the sweetness of the brown sugar bourbon sauce with the beef brisket.  Eric showed us how to use the seasonings and they were simple – just rub them onto the meat and set it up on the barbecue, or even rub them onto steaks and burgers and cook using a grill pan. Easy as!



Everybody grabbing a bit of everything to eat! It was hectic there for a while. :p

To finish off the meal, Chef Eric had the fantastic idea of using the seasoning in chocolate brownies. They had a spicy kick and were amazing!
